Angelea From ANTM Is Suing Tyra Banks For $3 Million

During the finale of America’s Next Top Model: All-Stars in 2011, Tyra Banks announced that one of the three finalists, my favorite Angelea Preston, had been kicked off of the show and wasn’t eligible to win the grand prize of a spread in a Sears circular and an all-expenses paid trip to Paris (TX that is) to walk in a Rue 21 fashion show. No, the prize was a spread in Vogue Italia and a $100,00 contract with Covergirl. Angelea’s disqualification became a greater mystery than “What the hell kind of drugs is Tyra on?” The show never said why Angelea was booted and Angela herself didn’t talk about it for a while. We later found out that Angelea got ejected from the show for being an escort and now she’s getting revenge by suing the shit out of Tyra.

Angela actually won the show, but her title was later snatched away and the finale was reshot. Back in September, Angelea told TMZ that she was planning to throw a lawsuit at the producers of ANTM and The CW for breach of contract. Angelea made good on her promise by filing a $3 million lawsuit against Ty Ty and The CW in Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday.

Angelea claims that before All-Stars started shooting, she came clean to the producers and told them she had worked as a legal escort and not an illegal prostitution whore-ah. After she had won and the show was done, someone from ANTM called her and asked her all sorts of questions about being an escort. She was later told that she was disqualified and wouldn’t be getting any of the prizes. The Associated Press says that Angela is also suing for how she was treated during filming of All-Stars.

In her lawsuit, Angela says that they weren’t paid minimum wage or overtime and one time she had to wait 10 minutes to get medical attention for a panic attack in order to make better television. Angelea claims the conditions were torture. Sometimes they went 10 hours without food or water. (“Only 10 hours?! You fats are such complainers!” – Anna Wintour) Angelea was also in two other cycles of ANTM, but she doesn’t say anything about conditions while filming those seasons.

Angelea wants $3 million for damages. That’s about $2,900,000 more than the Top Model prize package.

I am Team Angelea all the way. Fuck Tyra. Who cares if she was an escort? Who cares if she was sucking two dicks for gum on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike during rush hour on a Tuesday morning? It’s just ANTM. It’s not a classy reality show with high morals like Rock of Love. Tyra needs to get off of her high horse.
