Amber Heard’s Divorce From Johnny Depp Actually Cost Her Money, So Says Her Friend

September 13, 2016 / Posted by:

Amber Heard’s friend and Johnny Depp’s ex-friend, iO Tillett Wright (which again is not the name of Apple’s new operating system) was one of the first to defend Amber after she was accused of being a manipulative gold digging succubus who was trying to siphon coins out of poor and innocent Johnny Depp. iO wrote an essay back in June where he said that he lived with Amber and Johnny for about a year, and knew Johnny to be a gentle soul with a temper. iO didn’t think that Johnny had any Ike Turner in him until he saw the aftermath of Johnny’s alleged attacks on Amber.

iO, who is a writer, activist and co-hosts MTV’s Suspect, is releasing his memoirs, Darling Days, later this month and hawked it in an interview with The Sunday Times. During that interview, iO talked about Amber and Johnny, and said that being married to the mumbling pile of scarves didn’t put money in Amber’s checking account. It actually did the opposite.

iO’s interview with The Sunday Times is more about the messy BerJohnny situation than about his book. iO isn’t happy about that at all and spit at The Sunday Times on Twitter for twisting shit around and making it look like he was using Amber and Johnny’s name to push his book. iO says that he told the writer that Amber and Johnny were off-limits and that he was tricked! iO doesn’t say if the talk about Amber and Johnny was supposed to be off the record or what. But his words about Amber and Johnny are all over The Sunday Times.

iO allegedly said that he is still very close with Amber but cut Johnny out of his life. iO does feel sympathy toward Johnny because he feels like Johnny is going through a lot of pain: “Everyone is trying to dance with their pain and sometimes it’s who do you stab in the process?” He went on to talk about the money situation. When Amber and Johnny announced in a statement that their trash heap fire of a divorce was FINALLY over, it was reported that she was getting $7 million in the settlement. (Amber chose to give all that money to charity, which Johnny is paying directly.) The way the settlement amount was reported, I thought that Johnny agreed to give Amber $7 million and cover her lawyer bills. iO says that isn’t so (via The Daily Mail):

Wright has now come out to back Heard and reveal she paid all her own legal fees and accepted a settlement that was much lower than she could have got.

Discussing the fact she could have got more than the $7 million, he said: ‘And she paid her own legal fees. That situation was so public. I’m not ever going to be one of them – I’m not ever going to be an A-list celebrity. But I chose to get involved in that situation because it was imperative to say what I thought was right.’

So if iO is right, then Amber married a multi-multi-millionaire without a prenup and ended up having to use her own money in the divorce? The streets must be paved with passed-out gold diggers today. And Amber should get herself a shirt that reads: I Married Johnny Depp And All I Got Was Bad Memories, Dick Cheese Poisoning Of The Cooch And This T-Shirt, Which I Fucking Had To Pay For. It would have to be a long t-shirt.
