Quentin Tarantino’s Mother Responded To His Vow To Never Give Her A Penny From His Success

Earlier this week Quentin Tarantino went on Brian Koppelman’s podcast, The Moment, and shit-talked his mother, Connie Zastoupil. Quentin says that when he was a kid Connie (who had him when she was 16) would bitch at him for his poor academic performance and chastise his dreams of becoming a screenwriter. He alleges that she said, “This little ‘writing career’ that you’re doing? That shit is over!” And that was the exact moment when 12-year-old Quentin vowed to never give his mother a penny when he hit it big. No house, no vacations, “no Elvis Cadillac for Mommy.” And, with the sole exception of helping her out with “a jam with the IRS,” 58-year-old Quentin says he’s kept his promise.
