It’s that time of year again when the internet gets filled with people screaming, “The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame should change its name to The All Music Hall of Fame already,” because this year’s list of inductees has been announced. Willie Nelson, Missy Elliott, Kate Bush, the late great George Michael, Sheryl Crow, Rage Against the Machine, and the Spinners will all be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on November 3. Chaka Khan, Al Kooper, Bernie Taupin, DJ Kool Herc, Link Wray, and Don Cornelius will also be honored during the ceremony. Cyndi Lauper was on the shortlist but didn’t make the final cut this time around. Listen, Sheryl Crow’s Strong Enough is one of my favorite songs to drunkenly murder ears with at karaoke, but how did she get in before Cyndi Lauper?!
