Ariel Elias, the comedian who flawlessly handled piece of trash hecklers!
Sometimes the answer to the equation “stand-up comedy + booze” is: heckling from a drunken asshole. Dealing with drunken hecklers is part of a stand-up comedian’s job, but sometimes a drunken heckler takes shit to new levels of insufferable and scary, and that’s what happened to comedian Ariel Elias during her set at a comedy club in New Jersey. Ariel, who describes herself as a Kentucky Jew, was doing her thing when some Trump supporters kept getting on her about who she voted for in the 2020 Presidential election. After one heckler refused to get off her ass over who she voted for, Ariel beautifully checked the trick and never lost her cool even when another heckler launched a beer can at her. Ariel picked up that troll’s beer and chugged it, earning a gold medal in the sport of dealing with hecklers. And hearing that a MAGA hat-wearer attacked a Jewish person at a comedy club, may have made you say, “Damn, Kanye was busy this weekend!”
During Ariel’s set at Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, she did a little Q&A with the audience. Ariel later admitted that wasn’t the best move, but she sometimes talks to the audience because it can lead to new material for her. And not only did she get some new material, but she got some well-deserved viral fame thanks to two delicate MAGAs. Ariel didn’t get into politics during her act, but one Trump supporter stirred shit up by asking if she voted for Trump. Ariel answered that stupid question with, “Why would you ask me that in here knowing I’m the only Jew in this room? Are you trying to get me killed?” Ariel swatted that annoying Trumper gnat away by telling the audience that she doesn’t care who anyone voted for in the room. But that annoying Trumper wouldn’t let it go and tried to burn Ariel who then turned that heckler to ash:
Heckler: So you voted for Biden?
Ariel: Yeah, so what. Why does it matter?
Heckler: I can just tell by your jokes that you voted for Biden.
Ariel: I can tell by the fact that you’re still talking when nobody wants you to that you voted for Trump.
As the heckler kept farting at the mouth, Ariel moved on with her act. At this point, Dino Ibelli, the owner of Uncle Vinnie’s, stepped in and told the heckler to STFU already. Dino tells Entertainment Weekly that the heckler then got up and left, and the heckler’s boyfriend should have followed her out the exit door. But instead, he decided to catch an assault charge by throwing a beer at Ariel. Thankfully, it missed her and hit the wall behind her. Ariel didn’t let that shit break her and picked up the beer like it was a tip for a job well and guzzled it down as a “fuck you.”

Uncle Vinnie’s filed a police report against the beer-throwing b-hole, but Ariel tells Newsweek that she has no plans to press charges because that would mean she’d have to return to Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.
I’m not sure the order of things, but my understanding is she got kicked out, her boyfriend threw the can and then ran out. The club is pressing charges against him. I’m not, because in order to do that, I would have to return to Point Pleasant Beach, and I’m not doing that unless someone pays me to.
Someone has paid her to go back to PPB because she’ll make her grand return to Uncle Vinnie’s in April. And Ariel’s move got her a standing ovation from other comedians like Patton Oswalt and Jim Gaffigan. And I’m slow clapping for Ariel too, even though I don’t think I’d ever drink from a beer thrown at me by an asshole, and that’s saying a lot, knowing what I’ve put in my mouth before. But then again, nothing quenches the thirst like drinking the angry tears of your troll. Cheers, Ariel!
