Jonathan Bailey of Bridgerton has won the role of Fiyero in the Wicked movies (yes, plural, they’re splitting it into two films because $$$$) and will star opposite Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. This news may make some people ask, “But can The Viscount yodel?” Throughout his career, Jonathan has been in stage productions of Les Miserables, American Psycho the musical, The Last Five Years, and Company (which got him a Laurence Olivier Award), so yeah he can sing. But the real question is, does Jonathan have the next-level acting skills needed to convince us that he fully understands the garbled lyrics coming out of Ariana Grande’s mumble mouth?
