Open Post: Hosted By The Shoes Created With Defective Sex Toys

Normally whenever someone has successfully worn out their secret bedroom batons it becomes time to burn the evidence and never speak of them again. But have you ever wondered what happens to the defective sex toys that die virgins? Apparently, some of them get used for better purposes, like becoming comfortable footwear guaranteed to put a much-needed “Ahhhhh…” into every step you take. And if you need proof just ask David Teitelbaum and Chad Braverman, who are combining their respective companies into a line of footwear.

WFLA News reports that two businessmen from two different worlds, shoe manufacturer David Teitelbaum and pleasure peddler Chad Braverman, have teamed up to create a shoe that’s comprised using products from the Island of Misfit Sex Toys (aka the dumpster). Their product, an obvious Yeezy knock-off called Plastic Soul, isn’t as popular as its inspiration but the fact that they are creating it with discarded rubber dicks and faulty fleshlights adds an air of mystery to their sexy sneakers.

More than two years in the making, Plastic Soul has yet to create the buzz of a Yeezy or the kicks of other titans in sneaker culture. And it doesn’t particularly live up to its own marketing hype as a major sustainable option, but the two Los Angeles businessmen are proud nonetheless.

“Personally, I love shoes. So it was a cool product, a really interesting way to get Doc Johnson on board with something that I would never ever do,” Braverman said from the company’s headquarters in the North Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The only time the worlds of feet and sex have ever come together is if you perform a very specific Google search. And although this endeavor is set to promote sex positivity with some of the proceeds going to women, the shoes are ugly. However, the process used to create them is absolutely beautiful.

Braverman and Teitelbaum are grinding down the sex toy defects into millimeter-sized cubes of thermoplastic elastomer, a mix of rubber and plastic that lends itself to injection molding. That’s how the $130 slip-on shoes are made. Teitelbaum, who designed the shoe, added a natural cork insole for extra support.

They better sell every shoe they have quickly before Kanye finds out. Because once he discovers someone else is trying to rip off his brand there will be Hell to pay!
