Wendy Williams Didn’t Marry An NYPD Cop, Despite Claiming She Did

Wendy Williams has not married an NYPD cop, despite claiming she married an NYPD cop. Last night, Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee (not to be confused with My Name is Earl) reported that he’d been chatting with Wendy on the phone, and she told him she recently married a New York cop named Henry. But today, Wendy’s rep told Page Six that this information was “inaccurate”; Wendy is dating someone new, but she “probably got carried away” while talking about it with Jason. Hoo boy. I can relate to jumping the relationship gun. Back when I was single, I’d map out entire futures with losers I’d gone on two dates with: “Uh oh, his mom’s Facebook lists her religion as ‘Catholic.’ If that bitch thinks we’re having a church wedding, she is sorely mistaken.” But those are indoor thoughts, Wendy. Indoor thoughts.

Wendy’s rep tells Page Six that reports of her cop-marriage have been greatly exaggerated:

“That’s inaccurate,” William Selby tells Page Six exclusively. “She is excited about a new relationship and probably got carried away in conversation.” As for whether Williams’ mystery man is, in fact, a cop, Selby adds, “Wendy doesn’t wish to disclose details at the moment.”

On Tuesday night, Lee recalled his phone call with Williams, 58, who told him she was flying to Los Angeles later this week but also had some other bombshell news.

“She says, ‘I’m married.’ I’m like, ‘What?’ She’s like, ‘I got married,’” the podcast host recalled of their back-and-forth. “I’m like, ‘You got married when?’ And she’s like, ‘I got married last week.’”

Jason also shared that Wendy told him she instructed her publicist to keep her entire family (except her son) away from her for an entire year and that her American Express card no longer works because her money is still under Wells Fargo’s control. Wendy claims the bank has unfairly barred her from her money. Wells Fargo says that, yes, they’ve frozen Wendy’s accounts, but only because they believe she is of “unsound mind” and a “victim of undue influence and financial exploitation.”

Here’s Jason Lee recounting his phone call with Wendy on his show:

Page Six points out that this isn’t the first time Wendy’s been linked to an officer of the law. In 2019 there were reports that she was dating a former cop/criminal justice expert named Dr. Darrin Porcher. Darrin later denied this, claiming that it was “flattering,” but he was already in a relationship, and he’d only worked security for Wendy for a couple of weeks.

So it sounds like Wendy has a thing for fake relationships with law-men. Didn’t anybody ever tell her that All Cops Are Bastards? Or did she get confused and think ACAB stood for “All Cops Are Bachelors, get on that, Wendy!”
