George Washington, the personal trainer kitty!
George Washington is a rescue kitty who lives in Evansville, Indiana with his humans, police officer Terrance and Terrance’s wife. George Washington came from a litter of kittens that Terrance’s wife decided to foster. Terrance wasn’t really into the idea at first but then he found his heart feeling something extra over a kitten they named George Washington. Terrance decided to keep GW and he may be regretting that decision because GW has turned into his bossy ass personal trainer! Oh, so not only does Terrance have to worry about GW sucking the soul of his body while he sleeps (you know, regular cat stuff), but now he has to worry about GW waking him up to do push-ups!
In a video that went viral on TikTok, Drill Sergeant George Washington The Kitteh keeps Terrance in check while he works out by bopping him on the head like, “Keep going, no slacking!“, when he comes up from a push-up. And according to Terrance’s wife, he’s the one who warmly welcomed this bossy little personal trainer into his life!
“My husband is a police officer who was working the night shift when I made the decision to rescue a litter of kittens. After weeks of nursing and caring for the litter I formed a bond with one of the kittens and eventually he agreed to keep one. He even decided to keep the last kitten for himself. It is very funny to reflect back to when he was playing the tough guy and was completely against keeping them. Now they do everything together and have changed our lives in small ways that often go unnoticed. In our line of work, it is therapeutic to come home and experience special moments like these.”
And here’s GW keeping count of Terrance’s push-ups after yelling at him, “Meow meow meeeow meow!” (that’s cat for “drop and give me 10!” obviously). Terrance is either fighting the urge to explode from the adorableness of it all or he’s fighting the urge to collapse in exhaustion from being overworked by bossy ass GW! At one point, Terrance stops and asks his trainer, “Am I done?”, and GW lets him know that he’s not by pushing him down again.
And Terrance can’t even brush his teeth in peace without GW swatting at his brush to let his lazy ass know to get back to training!
