Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Demonstrate The Odd Way They Hold Hands And Admit Their Kids Are Disgusted By Them
Ryan Seacrest couldn’t host Live with Kelly & Ryan on Monday (did ABC shoot their workhorse?!), so Kelly Ripa’s husband Mark Consuelos filled in. And 30 seconds into the show, the couple revealed some very strange personal information. Nope, it wasn’t another story about their daughter walking in on them having sex. It was about how they are “arm length incompatible”. Kelly explained that, typically, a person’s wingspan should be the exact length of their body. But her arms are 4 inches too short, and Mark’s are 4 inches too long. This means they cannot hold hands like a normal couple; Kelly’s hand can’t reach the hand at the end of Mark’s never-ending arms!
Kelly said, via ET Online:
“We just tried something we never do at home, but for some reason we tried it backstage — holding hands,” 51-year-old Ripa shared at the start of the show. “As you know, we are arm length incompatible.”
Kelly and Mark got up, showed off incompatible arms, and then demonstrated how they manage to hold hands; by standing super far apart:
“In New York people are like, ‘Yeah, take up the whole sidewalk!’ And I’m like, ‘Have you seen our arms?! Shut it!’ Go around us!” Ripa quipped. Consuelos then chimed in, “You know what they say, it doesn’t matter how long your arms are when you’re laying down.”

Kelly and Mark also talked about how their three kids, Michael, 24, Lola, 20, and Joaquin, 19, are “repulsed” by them. And it’s not because of their Red Rover approach to hand-holding or their TMI approach to sex (at least this time). It’s because of how they eat, via ET Online:
“They’re sickened by us,” Kelly told the audience. “And I’m not sure why that is. But they are disgusted by our eating. They make fun of my eating a lot.”
Why? Well, as Mark went on to explain, his wife of more than 25 years does not use utensils to eat. Mark, 50, said Kelly, 51, will eat “normal food normally,” however, if something can be consumed with her fingers, she will “put the plate in front of me, and then you’ll go in and grab it and then you stick all three fingers, the tips of all three fingers, into your mouth.”
Then he mimed eating like Kelly. She laughed and asked him, “It probably is something that is consumed with the fingers if I’m using my fingers?” Mark responded:
“Yeah, it can be, but if it’s a piece of cake and there’s a little slice, you’ll grab a little not to have the whole piece. But you go in with the three fingers. I’m surprised you weren’t nursed with the first three fingers of someone’s hand!”

So Kelly eats like a monkey and Mark has the long arms of an ape. And they let these two freaks on TV?!
