Trouble, oh we got trouble, right here in River City! With a capital “T” that rhymes with “C” and that stands for COVID! Because the two leads of the Broadway revival of The Music Man got Coronavirus. Last week, Sutton Foster had to bow out after she got COVID, and understudy Kathy Voykto had to step in with just a few hours of rehearsal. And now, The Music Man himself Hugh Jackman has let everyone know that he’s got COVID too and performances are canceled through January 1 (but Hugh won’t be back in the show until January 6). The Music Man isn’t the only Broadway show that Coronavirus has fucked with. So sadly, it’s looking like for the second season in a row, the worst disaster to hit Broadway is COVID-19 and that’s saying a lot since Diana: The Musical opened (and closed) this season – Just Jared
