Steve Buscemi’s “How do you do fellow kids?” costume!

Usually, to me, the person who wins Halloween is the person who never says “so and so won Halloween.” So I did not win Halloween this year because I’m declaring that Steve Buscemi won Halloween! On the left is Steve Buscemi as a failed undercover high schooler in 30 Rock, and on the right is Steve Buscemi in Brookly last night, letting everyone know that they can take their weak-costume-wearing ass home since he destroyed all the competition by once again dressing like the most fuck effort To Catch A Predator decoy of all time.

In 2012, Steve was in the 30 Rock episode titled The Private Investigator and he played a character who decided to give Andrea Zuckerman a run for her “old ho trying trick youngins’ into thinking they’re a youngin’ too” money by going undercover as a fellow high schooler. Honestly, this episode is the only Dear Evan Hansen prequel we want or need:

That “How do you do fellow kids?” moment became a meme and is used when an oldie tries to keep up with the kids. Basically, every time I open up the TikTok app on my phone, a red cap lands on my head, a red hoodie ends up on my shoulders, and I grab a skateboard before joining my fellow kids on TikTok.

And in Park Slope last night, Steve Buscemi dressed as his own meme while handing candy out to trick or treats. A costume that is both brilliant and comfortable? Steve Buscemi is a Halloween costume master!

Honestly, I’m surprised that anyone recognized Steve Buscemi. Most people probably looked at him and just saw a fellow kid being a fellow kid.
