Open Post: Hosted By A Grandmother’s Old Cocaine Kit From The 1970s

Whenever I think of grandmothers, I picture an elderly woman baking pies and giving fresh dollar bills to all of the grandkids. Well, apparently there was one grandmother in the 1970s who screamed “Fuck them kids!” while rolling up her one-dollar bills for a few hits of the booger sugar, as one Reddit user has gone viral after posting an old cocaine kit that belonged to her friend’s grandmother.

According to Newsweek, Reddit user Hmoonves posted a photo of a leather pouch their friend discovered while cleaning up her grandmother’s house. I’m going to assume that this party granny has already checked into the Champagne Room in Heaven because if she was still alive, I’m sure she would have snatched the pouch from them and screamed, “I’ve been looking for this since 1974!” Yet the discovery has been identified as a Frost-Ade kit, which was manufactured in California during the ’70s and only used by the upper echelon of cokewhores. And it was packed with all of the white horse rodeo favorites, including a razor, a vile attached with a spoon, and even an agate stone for convenient, classy snorting.

“Before ‘drug paraphernalia’ was made illegal, drug accessories were very much a thing. Check out the back pages of old High Times and other R-rated magazines back in the day, there were all sorts of ads for cocaine and weed accessories, and they weren’t shy about saying it was for drugs.”

If anything, this probably explained how granny was able to cook dinner and clean the kitchen in only fifteen minutes. She was higher than Lil’ Wayne riding on a giraffe. But the true burning question one Reddit user asked was, “Did it come with any old-school cocaine?” and the answer is YES! There was still a bit caked up at the bottom of the vile, which may have also explained the mystery about the time granny tore the entire house up looking for her “reading glasses“. She wasn’t looking for reading glasses at all. She was trying to find her good time bag so she could take another hit before dealing with all those bratty kids.
