Fabergé Organics!

If you watch Stranger Things, then you already know that the secret to the luscious roadkill lying on top of the head of Steve IS Fabergé Organics. That bit of info was surprising because I’m sure everyone figured that Steve achieved that electrocuted guinea pig look by sticking his finger in a light socket. But no, it’s all thanks to Fabergé Organics, which was also good enough to cleanse the legendary mane of Heather Locklear.

Fabergé was a cosmetics company that started as a line of perfume and toiletries in the 1930s. Fabergé cosmetics had nothing to do with Fabergé eggs, and in fact, the Fabergé family was going to sue over the use of their name. But they settled and Fabergé cosmetics was able to continue to use the name. And use it they did! They used it for everything from perfumes (including Babe which the late Margaux Hemingway was the face of) to skincare stuff to nail polish to a line of Farrah Fawcett haircare products. Then in the 1980s, came Fabergé Organics.

Fabergé Organics was mainly a shampoo and conditioner that was made with “pure wheat germ oil and honey.” I guess there were knock-off versions of it out at the time because, in the commercial, Heather coos about the “original” Fabergé Organics and also multiplies into squares like an extremely glamour-fied version of The Brady Bunch’s opening.

Heather Locklear wasn’t the only superstar that was a face of Fabergé Organics. The goddesses of GLOW were also gracious enough to lend their beauty and star power to a Fabergé Organics commercial:

Fabergé was acquired by Unilever in 1989 and Fabergé Organics isn’t made anymore. And that might be a good thing. Because if you walked around with your hair smelling of Fabergé Organics, you’d become a prime target for thieves! I mean, anyone who uses a shampoo with an accented e in its title is obviously a rich, fancy bitch.
