While promoting Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Awkwafina (born name: Nora Lum) was asked about using a “blaccent” during her career and she gave the kind of mumbling non-answer an 11-year-old me dribbled out when a friend asked me if I was gay. She let out an “um” and a sigh before saying that she’s open to the conversation and that the topic is “multifaceted and layered.” So basically, Awkwafina gave an awkwardfina answer.
