Hot Slut Of The Day!
Edith Murway–Traina, the world’s oldest competitive powerlifter!
Edith Murway-Traina, a great-great-grandmother from Tampa, FL, turned 100 years old on August 8, and just before her big birthday, she got the gift of Guinness World Records naming her the oldest competitive powerlifter (female). Yup, Great Memaw Edith is a weightlifter who has lifted up to 150 pounds. It goes without typing but she is NOT THE ONE to mess with. Just think of how heavy of a chancleta she could pick up and throw at you for not acting right!
Edith Murway-Traina’s road to becoming a powerlifting great-great-grandma started in the dance studio. Like Nicole Kidman in that Chanel N°5 commercial, Edith loves to dance and she taught ladies how to throw down sweet moves at her local rec center. That’s where she met Carmen Gutworth who became one of her close friends. Carmen brought a then 91-year-old Edith to her gym and Edith quickly got into lifting weights. Edith became a regular and kept pushing herself to lift more and more. Carmen says that lifting came naturally to Edith and soon she became competing in the senior circuit. And soon after she began competing, she started getting those trophies. via GWR:
“She loves the applause. Any time she lifts a weight, people clap,” adds [Edith’s daughter] Honey.
The passionate athlete continues to inspire others, so much so that she’s brought in others ranging in a variety of ages to partake in physical activities.
Edith also admits that her wins in the last few years led her to receive so many trophies that at one time, she didn’t have enough space for them in her home!
Edith lifts 40 to 50 pounds. Here’s a 94-year-old Edith deadlifting 140 pounds at a competition:
And here’s a 94-year-old Edith bench pressing 65 pounds:
Because of the pandemic, Edith hasn’t competed since 2019, so she’s ready to get back out there. And when she does, watch out, other lifters!
I don’t have to take a glance at my silicone straw arms to know that Lifting Queen Edith can easily outlift me. I mean, the dead beetle I found in the corner of my bathroom today can outlift me.
