Open Post: Hosted By Julia Roberts’ Daughter’s Red Carpet Debut

We all know Julia Roberts’ Niece, but have you met Julia Roberts‘ daughter? Julia has probably long since put her uterus to pasture so her Bump Watch days are over. But that doesn’t mean people still aren’t interested in the fruit of her loins! Instead of watching for baby #3 to emerge from her womb, we have to take a step back and watch as baby #1 of 2 emerges from obscurity. Julia’s 16-year-old daughter Hazel Moder accompanied her dad Danny Moder on her first ever red carpet at Cannes. Danny and Julia have two other kids, Hazel’s twin brother Phinnaeus and 14-year-old Henry. Yahoo! reports that Danny, a cinematographer, was there with his latest movie Flag Day which was directed by Sean Penn.

According to Yahoo:

Hazel wore a midi-length soft yellow lace shirtdress with long sleeves and a spread collar. Though it’s billed as one of the most glamorous events in the entire world, she kept things low-key with minimal makeup, a single necklace, and wore her hair in a simple ponytail. She finished the look with chunky black Mary Janes.

While Oscar-winner Roberts is one of the most famous actors in the entire world, she’s managed to keep her kids out of the spotlight. The parents generally keep the kids off of social media (though there have been some exceptions) and every outing with a peek at any of the kids is a rare one.

Here’s Hazel and Danny on the carpet as well as the rest of the Flag Day gang which includes Dylan Penn and Hopper Penn, Sean’s adult children that he shares with Robin Wright. They’re both in the movie of course. Hey, it’s better than working at McDonalds! And no background checks required!

Nice of Julia to have kept those Steve Madden Mary Janes she wore in Mystic Pizza all these years for this special moment. Poor Hazel. Imagine being on your first red carpet and you gotta hang out around a dude who once said he could watch your mom eat “for hours on end, even if the food got stuck in her teeth” and then use “a virtual toothpick” to “collect souvenirs correcting my insomnia with the comfort of those virtual morsels kept carefully beneath my pillow.” If I were Hazel I would call Le Police Nationale to report a potentially dangerous pervert on the loose.
