Fortunately, the legit Jennifer Aniston is “in a really peaceful place“ these days, so seeing someone who looks jarringly like her Rachel Green self in Friends and lip-syncing her whiny pout about a crappy fashion job in the third season, won’t weird her out one bit.
That lookalike someone is TikTok user Lisa Tranel, who must get stopped enough for autographs on the street (and screeched at by overly invested Friends fans screaming at her for choosing annoying AF Ross over her Paris career move) to have included “Not Jennifer Aniston” in her TikTok profile.
According to E! News, the post has gone viral and viewers can’t get over the resemblance:
Many pop culture fans scrolling through TikTok this week came across a user who looked exactly like Jennifer Aniston. After a closer investigation, they discovered it was @she_plusthree (real name Lisa Tranel) who looks a lot like the A-list actress.
In her viral TikTok, Lisa lip-synced to an iconic quote from Jennifer’s Friends character Rachel Green.
“I want to quit,” Rachel said in a 1997 episode when talking to BFF Monica Geller (Courteney Cox). “But then I think I should stick it out. Then, I think why would such a person stay in such a demeaning job just because it’s remotely related to the field they are interested in.”
Maybe it’s Lisa’s facial expressions. Perhaps it’s her blonde locks that are just a little longer than the iconic Rachel cut. Whatever the case may be, fans can’t get enough of the video that has received close to 345,000 likes in just one day.
It really is uncanny, to the point where you automatically assume Monica is anxiously vacuuming the car’s dirty floor mats right off camera, Joey is cringe-crooning “How YOU doin‘?” to a random woman on the street, and Phoebe has set up shop on the sidewalk to bust out a round of “Smelly Cat” for donations. Who knows? Maybe Jennifer is seeing an opportunity here and is fiendishly plotting to punt an unsuspecting Lisa out on the pap stroll to field the next round of invasive questions about the vacancy status of her uterus!
