The Pride Cookies That Got The Assholes Of Gay Haters In A Twist!

Confections bakery is celebrating Pride month with heart-shaped rainbow cookies in honor of all of their LGBTQ friends and customers. And well, if Confections was in a city like NYC or Los Angeles or Miami or San Francisco or Chicago, not many would bat an eye. But Confections is in Lufkin, Texas (population: 35,000), and some of their customers came out as homophobes by hating on their Pride cookies and one customer canceled a large order because of it. And they probably used the THINK OF THE CHILDREN bullshit excuse because well, we all know that when you stare at a heart-shaped rainbow cookie long enough, you see two dudes ass fucking. It’s like an ultra gay Magic (Brown) Eye poster.

It all started when Confections posted the above picture a week ago to their Facebook page along with this note, celebrating Pride month:

More LOVE. Less hate.

Happy Pride to all our LGBTQ friends! All lovers of cookies and happiness are welcome here

It even says in the note to spread more LOVE and less hate, but obviously, some didn’t get the message. Because the owners of Confections, sisters Miranda and Dawn, later posted on Facebook about how they lost several followers, got hate messages, and got a large order canceled all because of some pro-gay rainbow cookies:

Today has been hard. Really hard.
We lost a significant amount of followers because of a rainbow heart cookie we posted.
We received a very hateful message on our business page canceling a large order (5dz) of summer themed cookies for tomorrow morning (that we just finished decorating) because of a rainbow heart cookie we posted.
My heart is heavy. Honestly I never thought a post that literally said more love less hate would result in this kind of backlash to a very small business that is struggling to stay afloat and spread a little cheer through baked goods.
So. If you love our cookies we will have an over abundance of them tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow will be better

Well, tomorrow was better. Their post made the rounds and they gained many more followers, received notes of love, and customers supported them even more by buying up their goods. They sold out in one day. Customers who showed up to find everything sold out donated money to Confections, which Confections gave to an animal charity (um, it better have been an animal charity devoted to gay animals, Confections. It’s Pride month!).

The support kept coming and Miranda and Dawn thanked everyone for the love and positivity and posted a picture of the line to buy their sweets:

You know what would probably make Confections’ cookies even sweeter? While biting into one, think of all the gay haters seething at Confections’ success. Mmmm, delicious.
