Open Post: Hosted By People Reselling BTS McDonald’s Meal Wrappers On eBay

McDonald’s teamed up with Korean boy band mega-group, BTS, to create a limited-edition meal. The “BTS Meal” went on sale this week and each meal has been personally shoved up the ass of a member of BTS. JK, it’s just a normal meal with promo packaging. The meal includes a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries and Coke, and also introduces two new dipping sauces to the US market–sweet chili and Cajun. It’s the first celebrity collaboration to go on sale globally, and guess what? That BTS-hysteria has people already selling their wrappers and bags on eBay. How absolutely, stupid… And with that being said, if you excuse me, I’m gonna go to McDonald’s and order some BTS meals to resell and pray the bags aren’t too greasy to turn a profit.

BlogTO says that BTS’ partnership with McDonald’s was launched on Wednesday. So far, the meal is available in ten countries including Canada and the US, and it will be released in dozens more through the rest of the month and June. And baby, eBay is lighting up. Here are some screenshots from eBay.ca showing chicken nugget containers, fry containers, some bags, and the sauces all up for resale for insane costs. Like the one saying “near mint condition” selling for $235. Are you insane? To quote Miranda Priestly: “Did you fall down and smack your little head on the pavement?”

There are actually some completed sales too. If you spend money on someone else’s actual garbage you are a mad person. If you do so in a pandemic, you need to self-isolate for two weeks after receiving your purchase. I mean let’s compare stupid money wasters. What do we think is more of a waste? This shit, or buying online seats to Jake Paul‘s wedding? …Okay, obviously it’s still the wedding, right? But really, all that money on just a bag and trash from McDonald’s. Can you imagine if someone got hold of a lock of a BTS member’s hair. A lock Justin Bieber’s hair sold for over $40k in 2011. So what I’m saying is that every member of BTS better walk around with a steel helmet on their head, because some of their fans are “buy a used McDonald’s BTS bag on eBay” levels of nuts.
