Gérard Depardieu Has Been Charged With Rape
Times up (again) for FOP (friend of Putin) and Russian citizen Gérard Depardieu (too much égalité going on with the French tax code) who, in 2018, avoided being charged with the rape of a 22-year-old actress when “after nine months, the case was dropped for lack of evidence,” according to Page Six. But last year, the case was reopened “after the woman re-filed her complaint,” and now, Gérard has officially been charged with rape. Hopefully he’s pissing himself now instead of dribbling it all over the aisles in economy class.
Page Six reports:
Gérard Depardieu has been charged with raping a young actress three years ago as the two rehearsed the scene of a play in his Paris apartment, according to a report Tuesday.
The 72-year-old French actor was indicted in December in connection with the assault, which allegedly occurred in 2018 when the victim was 22, a judicial source told Agence France-Presse.
A source told AFP that the French superstar is a friend of the woman’s family.
The alleged attack reportedly occurred as the two were rehearsing a scene of a play — but the source told AFP that “there was nothing professional about the encounter.”
While Gérard is currently free, he is under “judicial supervision” which hopefully means he won’t be allowed to fuck off to Russia so he can ask Steven Seagal, his comrade in ICK, to help him out with a new identity and a Just For Men dye job. Sorry Gérry, that nose is a dead giveaway. There’s no hiding, we can see that shit from space (even if at first it might be misidentified as a horrifying new moon bearing down on planet earth). Unsurprisingly, Gérard insists he’s innocent and his lawyer has said that “instead of a fair trial, his client was being tried in the media.” Fun fact — Gérard’s attorney also represents Roman Polanski. According to The Hollywood Reporter:
The actor’s lawyer, Hervé Témime, told French newspaper Le Monde that Depardieu “totally disputes the facts with which he is accused.” Témime did not immediately respond to a request for additional comment.
Attorney Elodie Tuaillon-Hibon, who represents the alleged victim, told AFP that she hoped her client’s “private sphere will be respected.” Tuaillon-Hibon could not be reached for additional comment.
Come to think of it, if he did want to run, he could pass for a Kamchatka brown bear that spent a little too much time in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
