Softsoap’s Rainforest Soap!

Besides being in an actual rainforest, nothing makes you feel like you’re in an actual rainforest like the completely authentic Rainforest Cafe, but Softsoap’s rainforest series came close. It brought the rainforest to your bathroom. Softsoap’s rainforest series was made up of little creatures of the rainforest stuck inside a bottle of soap for eternity. Yes, that tiger is throwing a side-eye that says, “They really stuck my ass to this pump tube and are forcing me to be in the same room with you as you take a shit.

Softsoap’s rainforest series came out in 2001, and in this press release, they bragged about its patented 3D bottle soap creation:

First with yet another innovation, Softsoap brand is introducing an imaginative new line of liquid hand soap that gently cleans and protects against germs in a colorful new 3-dimensional packaging look. New Softsoap Rainforest Series Antibacterial Liquid Hand Soap features appealing 3-D animal figures in their “natural” habitat — a tropical rainforest.

Softsoap Rainforest Series takes liquid hand soap into a new dimension. Three variants feature a panda, monkey and parrot suspended in the bottle against assorted rainforest backgrounds. Softsoap Rainforest Series took five years to develop, and Colgate-Palmolive has an exclusive license to this patented development.

Besides the panda, monkey, parrot, and tiger, you could also get a bottle of soap with a little clownfish inside of it. But well, unfortunately, Softsoap is no longer serving up that 3D innovation because they stopped making the bottles with a little animal friend in them. Although, if you bought one back in the day, you could just keep refilling it while showing your love for rainforest animals by drowning them in antibacterial soap forever!
