Open Post: Hosted By Dog BFFs Jax And Birdie Reuniting In A Video Call
No different than any of us, dogs have taken to video conferencing in order to bridge distances and get shit done. Jax the Husky and Birdie the Pug are best friends, but when Birdie’s human moved away from Oak Bluff, Manitoba, where Jax and his human still call home, both of their industrious humans quickly set up chat capabilities so the pups could continue to hear each other’s soothing yowls. So while they can’t sniff each other’s bits at the moment, they can still croon doggo pledges of friendship across time and space and look far more put together and sound way more coherent than any of us while in a blasted Zoom meeting for work.

This is the heartwarming moment a husky ‘spoke’ to a friend using video conferencing software. Jax, who is a husky living in Oak Bluff, Manitoba, Canada, was filmed howling with delight on a video call with a fellow husky. The large dog was shown interacting over cyberspace with another dog called Birdie.
The dog’s owner said: ‘Jax and Birdie, who is my daughter’s dog are best buddies, but when my daughter and Birdie moved away, they missed each other. They loved it when they could at least chat to each other!’
Birdie is referred to here as a fellow Husky, but is definitely of the Pug persuasion and is clearly in awe of Jax’s luscious coat and melodious howls. Who isn’t? Hopefully these two besties will get to hang out again soon. In the meantime, here they are, in all their canine conference glory:
