Somewhere in the afterworld, my own Salvadorean abuelita is raising a chancleta of pride in honor of Doris Campos, the owner of a Salvadorean and Mexican restaurant who will serve you up a plate of Fuck Off with a side of Eat Shit if you mess with her family and her business. One dumb fuck customer learned this the hard way when she made the wrong decision to act the fool in Doris’ restaurant. A Bugatti may go from 0 to 60 in around 2.5 seconds, but it doesn’t have shit on Doris. Because if you piss her off, she’ll go from 0 to NOT THE ONE in 1 millisecond!
Both ABC 7 and Fox 2 says that last Friday, at around 8:30 at night, a customer came into Panchita’s Pupuseria & Restaurant in San Francisco’s Mission District to pick up her food. Doris’ daughter, also named Doris (but her last name is Vargas), let the customer know that her order was running a bit later. They originally told her it would take 15 minutes but it was actually going to take 20 minutes. So, just a 5-minute difference, but the customer had asshole vibes running through her veins and lost it. That’s when Big Doris, who was in the kitchen cooking, came out to see what was going on. So…. when an abuelita comes out of the kitchen, that’s your cue to sit the hell down and shut your stupid lips. But that customer must not know the drill because she grabbed a jug of hand sanitizer and threw it at Little Doris, who was holding her 2-year-old son (and Big Doris’ grandson). I bet that every record playing in a 25-mile radius scratched at that point. The universe knew it was game over for that asshole.
It is wintertimes, so nearly 60-year-old Big Doris wasn’t wearing her chancletas. So instead of taking a chancleta to that lady’s throat, Big Doris flipped a table and then used it to de-asshole her restaurant by shoving the angry customer out. Surveillance footage caught it all and it’s my favorite action movie of 2020!
San Francisco Police are investigating and Little Doris hopes they find that trainwreck of a customer. And Little Doris also wants customers to know to just to be nice since, like many businesses, they’re trying to get through these hard times:
As for what happened at Panchita’s the woman eventually left the restaurant and thankfully no one was hurt. San Francisco Police say an investigation is ongoing. Doris Vargas is speaking out, in hopes of identifying the woman and holding her accountable. “Bad behavior is something we don’t forecast for,” says Vargas.
She has this message for the community that has been so good to her family for so many years. “Be considerate of the employees and the business. And just have some empathy for the industry itself. We’re trying to stay afloat for the community and ourselves,” says Vargas.
I doubt they’re ever going to find that lady. I’m sure she skedaddled out of the place in fear and kept running until she hit the ocean and then she swam. I’m sure she’s still swimming. That’s what the heat of an abuelita’s rage will do to you!
