Tara Reid Used Instagram Comments To Offer Nicole Kidman A Role In Her New Movie
Tara Reid tried to pull a Lindsay Lohan and decided she was going to reach out to a fellow celebrity via social media and see if they could connect. Her target? Nicole Kidman. Her suggestion? That Oscar-winner Nicole join Tara in her next artistic masterpiece of cinéma–a psychological thriller about a drugged-filled child’s birthday party called Masha’s Mushroom. I mean hey, why not follow up homosexual fever dream, The Prom, with something equally as demented?
The DailyMail says that Tara is super busy and has lots of movies in the pipeline. Tara told The Mirror there are 16 films on the horizon including a comedy, a vampire/horror, and a mafia crime drama. She said there is one she’s extremely excited about–a sure-fire critical and commercial slam dunk called Masha’s Mushroom. The film is being produced by Cranial Sacral Productions and is in pre-production, and Tara is so pumped about it that she just had to make sure Nicole got a chance to participate. And how could Nicole not want to? Let’s talk about the plot:
“Masha’s Mushrooms is a suspenseful thriller that tells the story of a workaholic mother, played by Tara, who tries to throw the perfect party for her daughter. However, in a shocking turn of events all the guests at the party are mysteriously drugged and must figure out what’s real and what is a hallucination in order to survive the night.”
And it’s a series–there are 5 movies planned….. Tara is full-steam ahead and needs Nicole on board. Tara decided to comment on Nicole’s Instagram post about The Undoing–the drama where Nicole played yet another woman in a bad marriage–and asked if Nicole wanted to get in on Masha. I mean Nicole is an A-list star and just finished up a popular HBO show, so of course, next on the agenda is to be second-billed to Tara Reid. Tara wrote:
“You are truly amazing in everything you do. I’ve [been] a huge fan forever. Hopefully one day we can work together soon. I’m producing a movie Masha’s Mushrooms it’s starring Vivica Fox, Billy Zane, Beverly D’angelo, myself Tara Reid, Sade, and others it truly amazing script. It’s a franchise of 5 films. If you can follow me so I can tell you more. Kindly, Tara.”
“Myself Tara Reid” told Deadline she’s deeply involved in the production of Masha:
“I’m so excited about producing and making this film. It’s truly gonna be amazing visually and the characters are incredible. It’s also exciting that I’m making another franchise. It’s really great to be on both sides as a producer and actress.”
Welp, I just checked and Nicole Kidman is still not following Tara on Instagram. And with a pitch like that? I mean, Sade is in it! Nicole is a tough sell. Although, I’m not sure Tara’s movie has the wig budget needed for Nicole to sign on:

Sweetie, with a wig like that, who needs enemies? It is seven inches off of her actual scalp. That hairline goes up like there’s a wig-reveal waiting but I know it’s only sorrow which lies beneath.
