Alex Borstein’s casual Jean Harlow look from last night’s Emmys!

Even though last night’s Emmys was mostly an at-home affair, some celebrities actually washed their pits, sprayed perfume on their crotch, and put on a designer gown as though it was any other Emmys. But honestly, they shouldn’t have bothered. They should’ve stayed stanky and kept their designer gown on the hanger because Alex Borstein destroyed them all by delivering a scene straight out of a no-budget community theater production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof starring the town’s number 2 Jean Harlow cosplayer!

Alex Borstein was up for the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series along with Annie Murphy (for Schitt’s Creek), D’arcy Caden (for The Good Place), Betty Gilpin (for GLOW), Marin Hankle (for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Kate McKinnon (for Saturday Night Live), Yvonne Orji (for Insecure), and Cecily Strong (for Saturday Night Live). Alex has won twice before for Mrs. Maisel, so she probably didn’t get hit with the sads when she lost to Annie Murphy. Besides, she was a big winner of the night for giving us pink satin-covered GLAMOUR wrapped in INTRIGUE.

When all of the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nominees were shown at home, I’m sure viewers screamed, “ABC! Get your stupid shit together! Why are you showing a still from a Jayne Mansfield movie?!” Because this is what Alex delivered:

Alex also threw out a melodramatic WHAT!? when she lost:

Alex deserved an Emmy for this rooftop set up alone. It takes true dedication to glamour to put together a JCPenney bedroom set on a rooftop and also exude 1950s camgirl hotness. Not to mention that Alex had her Yorkie Arturo with her and not once did Arturo follow his natural Yorkie instincts by barking at the wind for hours on end. Alex is an Emmy-winning actress, displayer of glamour, AND a Yorkie whisperer. Alex Borstein does it all!
