ZOOKS!

July 24, 2020, was an extremely hard day for me and not just because it was the day that my box of wine pissed out its last drop of the sweet nectar and I was too lazy to go to the store. It was also the day that I learned that Zooks does not exist in this world anymore. 2020 keeps making sure it will forever hold on to the title of King Of Being The Worst.

There’s not much information about Zooks on the internet. But what I do know about Zooks is that it was little crunchy dingles of bubble gum that came in two flavors: cherry and grape. It was kind of like NERDS: THE GUM. And the Zooks mascots were two peen-shaped booger ass-looking aliens.

Zooks came out in the 1980s and I’m not sure exactly when it went away, but well, I guess I’ll never again hear the sound of my teeth screaming with fear as I pour an entire box of Zooks into my mouth hole to chew that pile of cavity-inducing deliciousness into one giant bubble gum wad.
