LePage’s Mucilage Glue!

Now, because my brain is a wadded-up crusty old cum rag that barely holds any information, I don’t remember the exact name of the brown glue of disgusting doom that terrorized me as a child. But LePage’s Mucilage seems to be a popular brown glue brand that made its way into many school craft times, so I’m going to go with it. Although, my brain would probably remember using LePage since 6-year-old gay me thought that anything with a “le” in front of it was a thing of pure elegance that should not be forgotten.

Brown glue (not to be confused with “golden glue,” the glue of choice for fancy young Liberaces-in-training) wasn’t as nearly as popular as Elmer’s during craft time, but I remember choosing to always use it to be ~different`. While Elmer’s tip is like a ginger pointy dick that squirts out white sticky stuff, Le Page’s Mucilage has a red tip that squirts out sticky brown stuff. I have no idea where I’m trying to go with that (what else is new?). I guess what I’m trying to say is that Elmer’s is a dick before a sex date with me and LePage is the after.

Mucilage is not only a word for glue, but it’s also a word for, you guessed it, musty juice. So that was a perfect name for LePage’s Mucilage since it was something you’d sneeze out while suffering through the stankiest flu ever. I loved it because you could use the lipstick tip to easily smear the glue around your project. And yes, the tip always got so crusty that the slit would get blocked (“There’s an ointment for that” – everyone). But knocking the crust off with a paper clip made 6-year-old me feel like an extremely hardworking pro artiste!
