Da Brat Has Gone Public With Her Girlfriend

45-year-old Da Brat has decided to take her relationship with her girlfriend, 37-year-old Jesseca Dupart––CEO and co-owner of Kaleidoscope Hair––to the front page after Jesseca gifted her with a surprise birthday present. Despite receiving a lot of unbothered “DUH” comments, this is the first public acknowledgment Da Brat has made about her sexuality.

According to Billboard, Da Brat posted a clip to her Instagram page showing the $300,000 Bentley that Jesseca bought her for her upcoming birthday (her birthday is actually April 14, but with all the shit going on right now, Jesseca couldn’t wait). While taking us on a tour of the interior, Da Brat breaks down in tears while she may or may not be thinking, “Shit, the bank better not come for this Bentley!”

Jesseca posted the actual reveal on her page too, and added this sweet caption:

“My better half, my forever, my twin flame”

If I had one critique of the video, it would be that I wish somebody had moved the garbage can out of the way!

Well, it’s good to see that Da Brat is holding a Red Solo Cup and not a rum bottle. As many of you know, Da Brat got probation in the early-aughts after pleading guilty to misdemeanor reckless conduct for attacking a woman with a rum bottle at a club. Then in 2010, she got out of prison after serving 21 months for attacking another woman with a rum bottle at a Halloween party in 2007. What’s with Da Brat and rum bottles?! That woman, Shayla Stevens, ended up suing Da Brat and won a $6.4 million judgement (which has now grown to $8 million thanks to interest). Da Brat later filed bankruptcy, but Shayla is still trying to get paid, so after that video ended, Shayla may have run into that garage to snatch up that Bentley as partial (very partial) payment.

With that being said, congrats to Da Brat on her coming out, her girlfriend, and her new Bentley!
