Victoria’s Secret Wants To Be Inclusive Now

Victoria’s Secret is now pulling a Hail Fucking Mary as they have been fighting the tide of declining sales and store closures. Two years ago, former Victoria’s Secret CMO, Ed Razek said that VS would never use “transsexual” models because they sell a “fantasy,” and that they tried to do a TV special starring plus-size models in the past, but nobody had an interest in it, so they kept all the plus-size lingerie in their sister company Lane Bryant. Since then, Ed lost his job, the company swapped CEOs, sales crashed, and they cancelled their big annual fashion show. So now they have to try to lure in the women their asses shunned.

Page Six says that VS diversified up their spring campaign for Body By Victoria. The campaign includes: 49-year-old Daniela Pestova, 51-year-old Helena Christensen, 23-year-old transgender model Valentina Sampaio, 35-year-old plus-size model Candice Huffine, and 20-year-old plus-size model Solange van Doorn.

Both Daniela and Helena are original VS Angels. Helena also shot the campaign. And Valentina is the first openly transgender Angel.

On top of everything mentioned above, former CEO Les Wexner had ties to dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and there were allegations that Epstein picked up young girls through VS. And last month, an army of models called out VS in an open letter:

In February, the brand made headlines when more than 100 models signed an open letter to Victoria’s Secret CEO John Mehas, urging the company to “take concrete action to change its culture of misogyny and abuse.”

The letter referenced The New York Times‘ recent exposé that accused Victoria’s Secret former CEO Ed Razek of sexual harassment, bullying and creating a culture of misogyny.

Razek denied the allegations in the recent The New York Times‘ article, telling the Times in an email that “the accusations in this reporting are categorically untrue, misconstrued or taken out of context,” adding, “I’ve been fortunate to work with countless, world-class models and gifted professionals and take great pride in the mutual respect we have for each other.”

Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty line has pretty much signed Vicky’s death certificate, but I guess she’s still trying it. And for those who are buying what Vicky is selling, you sadly won’t literally be able to buy anything from her for a minute. VS announced that due to corona, they have shut down all their stores in North America and also closed their online store. They are honestly missing an opportunity here. Like some companies, they should pivot to making face masks out of their undies and hand sanitizer out of their shower gels and lotions. Hell, some of their shower gels are so stanky that they won’t even need to add alcohol to kill germs.
