Kelly Ripa And Ryan Seacrest Are Making A Scripted TV Show About Their Relationship

If you love hate-watching Live with Kelly and Ryan, then People has good news for you. You can soon hate-watch the “characters” of Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, because they’ve joined forces on another TV show.

Ryan became Kelly’s co-host in 2017 after Michael Strahan quit her for bigger and greener (as in more money) pastures at Good Morning America. While Kelly and Michael aren’t exactly brunching on Sundays, Kelly and Ryan want you to know that they totally love each other, and not only did he help her quit drinking, but they just can’t get enough of working with one another and so they’re teaming up for a TV pilot. Congratulations, America! We’re going to get more of Kelly and Ryan.

According to People, Kelly and Ryan are definitely the kind of people who use phrases like “work wife” and “work husband,” because their new show is called Work Wife and is about the working relationship between a real estate team made up of a man and a woman:

Titled Work Wife, the project will reportedly be written by The Real O’Neals co-creators Casey Johnson and David Windsor — whose professional partnership also served as the inspiration for the pilot — with Todd Holland set to direct.

According to the official logline, Work Wife “tells the story of a platonic male/female team whose professional success, personal friendship and ability to share deodorant makes their lives work.”

“Set in the world of real estate, Dani and Scott have taken the leap to start their own team. Now feeling the stress of being the boss, they have to rely on the yin-yang of their dynamic more than ever to keep their professional and personal lives afloat.”

This show hasn’t even started filming yet and it’s already given me the cursed image of Kelly and Ryan exchanging armpit sweat. Damn them for that.

And surely this TV pilot will bring them even closer together, as if that’s possible. But sometimes spending more time with someone can tear your relationship apart. If that happens to Ryan or Kelly, who will get custody of the fillers?! That will be a custody fight for the ages. Move over, Brangelina!
