Open Post: Hosted By The Return Of John Travolta’s Wig

December 16, 2019 / Posted by:

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the news that after nearly a year with us, John Travolta’s bald head has unfortunately been covered up with a lace front.

It’s very clear that Michael needs to set up his own psychic hotline, because he pretty much called this on the most recent episode of Dlisted: The Podcast. Our #2 story of 2019 was that John Travolta finally decided to stop wearing wigs after “shaving his head,” and his current situation is a full-bald look. Michael very confidently predicted that the wigs would one day be back. Michael, I’ve just reserved a 1-900 number in your name.

Of course, there’s a chance this is just a temporary setback. The reason for John’s return to fake hair was a Grease meet-and-greet singalong event in West Palm Beach, Florida on Friday. John dressed up as Danny Zuko, complete with a wig, and was joined by Olivia Newton-John as Sandy Olsson. John and Olivia have been good friends for years, so it’s not a shock that they’d reunite and make Florida Grease fans dreams come true. Sadly, Olivia went with boring Good Sandy, as opposed to the much more iconic and Bad Sandy. Why, Olivia? We know that you still have the jacket.

Grease will ALWAYS be the word.

TMZ also got a video from the event, where Olivia sang Hopelessly Devoted to You, and John did Greased Lightnin with a bunch of men from the audience.

The movie was released 41 years ago, and John wasn’t giving as much effort as he did in the film. But you can probably chalk that up to age. Or perhaps maybe he was just afraid that his hair was going to fall off. It’s been almost a whole year since John Travolta ditched the wigs. His head probably started to get used to the freedom after suffocating under a wig for years, and I would not have been surprised if his scalp violently rejected that hairpiece.
