Zorica Rebernik, the TRUE woman in red!

The Woman in Red came out in 1984, but years later the true woman in red was owning that color, so I’m going to need Orion Pictures to change the title to The OTHER Woman in Red. Sorry, Kelly LeBrock, but you ain’t got one red shit on Zorica Rebernik of Bosnia!

The color red has done things to 67-year-old Zorica since she was 18, so she told Reuters. Well, the color red probably really did things to Zorica when she had her first period, but you know what I mean. Ever since she was 18, Zorica wanted to live as though she was stuck inside a blood clot. Zorica bought one red piece of clothing that spoke to her, which led to her buying more red pieces of clothing, which led to her getting red everything from hair to furniture to eatin’ plates and everything else. She needed red everything to feel right in the world, and she even got married in a red wedding dress (Lydia Deetz’s IMPACT or Lydia Deetz’s INSPIRATION!). Zorica says the color red makes her feel strong and powerful. Being the Red Lady of Bosnia has already turned her into a local celebrity in her town of Breze.

“Everybody knows me. As soon as people see me, they offer me different red things,” she said, adding that she would reject any gift that was not red, no matter how precious.

She even goes to funerals dressed in red, eschewing traditional black.

The only problem is that her husband does not notice when Zorica wears something new. “I can’t tell the difference. Everything is the same,” he said.

Zorica also plans to take her obsession to the grave, and Reuters doesn’t exactly say how, but I’m guessing she’s going to be buried in a red dress, in a red coffin, with red dirt covering her, and the Grim Reaper better not even think of showing up to collect her in anything but a red cloak.

Start humming the Lady in Red and get into the redness of Zorica Rebernik:

The good thing about living in an all-red house is that if you spill wine or commit a viciously bloody murder, it’s not that big of a deal. I salute Zorica’s commitment, because I can’t even commit to choosing what to watch on Netflix. But she may expect gang members from L.A. to show up at her door to start worshiping her as their Grand Grandmother of the Bloods.
