Richard Gere’s Second Child Is Here

There was a salty time in my life where I would have followed up that headline by making a crack about the baby gerbiling its way into Richard’s heart, but it’s snowy and beautiful today. I’ll be nice. Ish. Richard Gere made us all scratch our heads last year when he broke news with a Dalai Lama Instagram post that his wife, 35-year-old publicist Alejandra Silva was pregnant. Richard is 69 and apparently trying to compete with Larry King for oldest mofo at a college graduation. Alejandra just gave birth, and…it’s a boy!

Us Weekly reports Richard and Alejandra welcomed their new bundle of college tuition payments on Monday. Richard already has a 19-year-old son, Homer, with ex-wife Carey Lowell. Alejandra has a son, Albert, with ex-husband Govind Friedland. It’s been a busy year for Richard and Alejandra, as they only just got secret married last April. There were rumors that she was either eatin’ good or pregnant by August, and she posted on Instagram to fuck off (in so many words) and that she was pregg-o. What’s weirder is Richard felt the need to include the Dalai Lama in the photo, but I guess it’s no different than my plans to include whatever bartender led to me and my future husband conceiving a child together in my pregnancy announcement photo. Oh, wait. That’s now how pregnancy works. Never mind.

Anyway, Richard and Alejandra fapped to HOLA! Magazine last year about how happy they were, and he said, “I have found the quiet and happy life that I have always sought.” China then responded, “More like the quiet and happy life we made your ass have!
