Salma Hayek’s Billionaire Husband Surprised Her With A Vow Renewal

Salma Hayek has been married to Francois-Henri Pinault, billionaire fashion mogul and CEO of the company that owns luxury brands like Gucci, since 2009. She always talks about how Linda Evangelista’s baby father is her soulmate and how “#luckyinlove” they are. Well, I guess the feeling is mutual because he surprised her with a vow renewal ceremony while they were luxuriating in Bora Bora.

People says Salma and Francois-Henri are in Bora Bora, and I guess she just assumed she was heading out for an afternoon of frozen beverages and Harlequin romance novels by the beach – y’know, typical vacation shit. Sneaky Francois had other plans, as he surprised her by walking her down the aisle to what ended up being a ceremony to double down on the marriage.

Their 10-year-old daughter, Valentina, was there and caught the bouquet.

Salma’s first wedding to Francois was in Paris at City Hall before they scooted down to their second ceremony at the opera house in Venice, which was attended by their famous friends like Ashley Judd and Megyn Kelly, er, Charlize Theron. Francois has a few other kids, but the one with Linda is the one that presumably caused the most dramaaaaa. They hadn’t dated all that long before she gave birth to their son, Augustin James Evangelista. He had already moved on with Salma, and Linda went to court to collect a child support check for their kid. A paternity test proved Augustin was Francois’ kid, and a settlement was later reached (presumably less than the $46,000 she was seeking, which is a shame because that would have been one blinged out Augustin).

Anyway, none of that seems to have fazed Salma because she blabbed last year, “We support each other in everything we do. We want the other one to strive. [It] makes you happy when the other one strives.” It probably also makes you happy when the other has several billion in the bank. Mazel!
