Dane Cook Isn’t Too Bothered About Being 27 Years Older Than His Girlfriend
What can I tell you about Dane Cook that his smug face doesn’t already scream? For example, his face just screams “my girlfriend is barely legal!” and “I buy all my t-shirts one size too small on purpose!”, both of which are entirely true statements. Good job, Dane’s face. You hit the nail on the head. Dane’s face, via his fingers, recently did some more talking on Instagram. Dane conducted an Instagram Story Q&A, which is a thing now I guess, and answered some questions about his relationship with girlfriend Kelsi Taylor who is 27 years his junior. Dane talked about how they met, and how it feels to be a cradle robbing Lothario.
Dane was asked how he and Kelsi met. Like, was he cruising a Monkees concert, or hanging out at a soda fountain, or at a sock hop? You know, places men Dane’s age think teenage girls hang out. The answer is no. He claims it was through mutual friends. Dane said (via E! News):
“We met at a game night I host at my place,” he revealed. “We were friends for a while and soon after, fell in like with each and then upgraded to love.”
Who the hell brings a child to a grown-ups game night unless it’s your actual child? Kelsi was 18 when they first went IG Official with their relationship, so who knows when this momentous evening actually occurred. I’m just thinking about how weird it would be if one of my friends brought along a random 18-year-old boy to my house to play Scattergories. It would be super awkward. Even if said boy could hold his own with the category “TV Shows of The 1970’s”.
Dane says that he and Kelsi like to watch The Handmaid’s Tale together and that Kelsi likes to travel with him while he’s on the road. And seriously, what 19-year-old aspiring actress wouldn’t want to travel the globe on private jets with her rich gentleman friend, while she tries to get her singing/Insta-sponsorship career off the ground?
I mean sure, you have to hang out with a bunch of grizzled middle aged dudes in ball caps, but you get to do it on a yacht!
And don’t you worry about her folks, it sounds like they’re just fine with the arrangement.
“I love her family and we are pretty close and do dinner and hang,” Dane revealed. “My family pretty much all died years ago but @_CourtneyCook_ my sister like Kelsi a lot.”
Hmm, I wonder if that’s because Dane and her family were already friends. I smell a setup, I tell you!
