Warren Beatty And Faye Dunaway Will Present The Best Picture Oscar Again

They say lightning never strikes twice, or at least that must be what Oscar producers, Faye Dunaway, and Warren Beatty are telling themselves to get through the next few days. A snitch inside rehearsals for this weekend’s Academy Awards ceremony says Faye and Warren will be back to present the Best Picture nominee…what could possibly go wrong?!

TMZ says Faye and Warren showed up to the Dolby Theatre yesterday to quickly run through presenting the Oscar for Best Picture – take 2! They quickly ran through their bit, which I imagine is because they didn’t want to draw attention from TMZ-planted moles. Or maybe it could do with one of the reasons offered for last year’s HUGE fuck up on Oscar night. In case you happened to be lobotomized after last year’s ceremony), lemme catch you up.

Faye and Warren announced Best Picture last year. Faye said it went to La La Land,  while the real winner was Moonlight. Things quickly spiraled out of control. The accounting firm used by the Academy, PricewaterhouseCoopers, took the fall, but naturally we learned of some drama – like how Faye and Warren would have rather done a Hallmark movie than spend anymore time with each other. They wouldn’t rehearse together, Faye wanted to read the Best Picture winner, and we all know what happened after that. I’m kind of surprised she agreed to come back to do it this year since she still seemed to be reeling from the fuck up months later to the point of not knowing how much pony hair costs.

However, it sounds like this year’s bit is going to involve friendly banter and maybe the two made up. The snitch says Faye in rehearsal yesterday said, “Presenting is better the second time around.” Warren replies, “The winner is ‘Gone with the Wind.’” Writers are still working the bit, but I really hope Warren keeps it as Gone With The Wind. You all know that snake of a La La Land producer who gave his acceptance speech after realizing the Moonlight mistake would still storm the stage and try to take credit!
