Hot Slut Of The Day!

L’Oreal’s mysterious, thrilling and dramatic commercial with a surprise reveal starring Winona Ryder!

Almost a year ago, Winona Ryder’s facial expressions at the SAG Awards took us on a riveting and gripping journey of emotions and became Hot Slut of the Month. Winona is back in a L’Oreal commercial that should’ve won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Drama over Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (not to be confused with my unauthorized Angelyne documentary called Three Billboards Outside Beverly Hills Adjacent).

During last night’s Golden Globes, several commercial breaks were elegantly graced by L’Oreal’s highly cinematic commercials for Elvive, their line of damaged hair-fighting conditioners and shit. The first commercial showed a glamorous being with a luscious fall of lush brown curls getting ready in her dressing room. We don’t fully see the glamorous being’s face, and while watching, I didn’t think it was anybody famous. But then the glamorous being makes her way to the stage of an awards show, and the camera pans around to reveal that it’s none other than VERONICA SAWYER herself!

Glass companies everywhere are working overtime today, because millions of windows shattered from the high-pitched, dog ear-busting screams of everyone who dropped their pink wine over that reveal! Did M. Night Shyamalan directed this jaw-dropping ending?!

AdAge says that the commercials were actually directed by Roman Coppola, Francis’ son. The makers of this campaign cast Winona Ryder, because at one point she was “damaged goods” (because of the shoplifting thing) in Hollywood and now she’s back! Okay, but they really missed out on an opportunity to use, “What’s your damage?!” as their tagline.

And if L’Oreal is going to continue with the “comeback” theme for Elvive,  the next ad campaign better star the ultimate comeback goddess Valerie Cherish! I DO need to see that.
