Taylor Swift Is Generous

As much as we mock Taylor Swift for being cold, calculating, and vindictive (yet somehow still boring), she occasionally proves us slightly in error.
Once in awhile and especially around the holidays, the super-rich will drive by someone in need and toss a bundle of cash out the window of their Bentley hovercraft. People reports that Tay Tay helped a formerly homeless and pregnant fan buy a house once. It’s definitely the holidays because, in addition to her generosity, Taylor might be burying the thinly veiled diss track with Katy Perry. I still wouldn’t watch this if it were a Christmas Special. I’d sooner watcher Larry The Cable Guy’s Star-Studded Christmas Extravaganza.

A British Swifty fan named Stephanie posted her story on Taylor’s new app, The Swift Life (who came up with that name – her SVU cat?). Before revealing what Taylor did for her, Stephanie noted that she didn’t know if she should share her experience or not especially since she’s actually Taylor or one of her team pretending to be a pregnant, formerly homeless fan to plug this app.

The Taylor Swift superfan went on to say that her apartment building had been condemned for “health and safety reasons” at the same time her partner lost his job, causing them to “lose everything.” Stephanie and her mom attended Taylor’s show in Manchester around that time and her mom (or “mum” or “muvva” in this case) told Taylor the story and asked her to make Stephanie “feel special.” That’s when Fairy Godmuvva Taylor went to work. Taylor gave Stephanie enough for a down payment on a house as well as enough money to get all of the things she needed for her the baby that was on the way. And all of this without a Tommy Hilfiger-inspired “candid” photoshoot!

Do you think the same tact would work for me? I’ll somehow make it back stage at a Taylor Swift concert, track her down and give her the “you’ve been in my life since I started blogging for this celebrity gossip site and I’ve never asked you for anything, so can I have a house, too?” proposal. Will security kick me out? What if I wear a Beyonce-branded baby bump pillow?
