Ronda Rousey And Travis Browne Go Toe-To-Toe At The Altar

August 30, 2017 / Posted by:

Opening the door to a million sweaty boxing puns, punch drunk-in-love MMA pro Ronda Rousey and her equally pugilistically-inclined MMA fighter fiancé Travis Browne touched gloves and made it official in Hawaii this past Saturday, the same day as the Mayweather/McGregor fight.

Ronda Rousey has gone from antagonizing alleged wife beaters to marrying an alleged wife beater. So that’s…something. People reports:

Rousey, 30, shared some wedding details during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan last month, explaining that they chose to get married in her fiancé’s home state. “He’s Hawaiian, so we’re gonna do kinda like a backyard Mexican Corona party,” Rousey revealed.

Because Hawaiians are secret Mexicans? I hope they also served Hawaiian Punch at the reception, because I can’t stop, won’t stop. While I try hard to make a “ring” pun work, please enjoy these photos from Ronda and Travis’ wedding courtesy of Instagram.

Absolutely beautiful!! #browsey2017

Of course, every boxer needs a ring. Ronda got her engagement ring while getting pummeled by a waterfall in New Zealand.

It sounds like Ronda is ready to hang up her gloves (do MMA fighters even wear gloves? I’m way out of my depth here, people) and settle down after a long career of getting the snot knocked out of her. Hopefully the newly-minted marriage will be 12 rounds of mutual love and respect. That way she can really enjoy her hinted-at retirement without having her back against the ropes.

Prior to her fight against Nunes, Rousey said during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she was nearing retirement. “I’m wrapping it up,” she said. “This is definitely one of my last fights. Everyone better watch because the show isn’t gonna be around forever!”

Hopefully we will all have ringside seats to Ronda’s next show: Happily Ever After The Gloves Come Off.
