Olympic Gymnast Aly Raisman Says She Was Body Shamed At The Airport Over Her Arm Muscles

On Wednesday, 23-year-old Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Aly Raisman tweeted about a gymnasty (sorry I couldn’t help myself) experience she recently had while going through airport security. She says it happened while interacting with a woman TSA agent and a man TSA agent. The woman recognized she was thee Aly Raisman by her buff arms. The man, however, doubted that was true. He didn’t even need any proof, like photo ID or a box of Special K; he just assessed that her arms were too small and weak to execute moves like a roundoff into a back handspring. That really pissed Aly off.

Aly Raisman has been very clear in the past about how proud she is of her body. She claims she used to get made fun of for having huge arms. Now she’s getting made fun of for having not-big-enough arms. Aly’s arm bullies need to pick a side and stick to it, because all this back and forth is no doubt very confusing for her bis and tris.

I still have no idea why that dude was so committed to exposing her as a phony. Maybe all that negging was part of some weird humiliation-by-a-strong lady fetish that he has. Like, he was secretly hoping that if he pestered her enough, Aly would eventually drop her boarding pass and carry-on bag and challenge him to an arm wrestling match he knew he would lose? Shoot, that seems like a lot of work to go for a boner.
