Open Post: Hosted By Demián Bichir And Eva Longoria
Here’s hot Oscar-nominated piece Demián Bichir from The Bridge (Never 4Get) and Eva Longoria spreading cholo and chola hotness on camera lenses while shooting a movie called Lowriders in the L.A. neighborhood of Elysian Park today. In case you couldn’t tell from the title and the fact that Eva is done up like a Sunday car show-going, dark lip liner-wearing, K-Earth 101-listening chola beauty, Lowriders is about the low-riding culture in East L.A. (Side note: K-Earth 101 is an oldies station in L.A. and I remember when they only played music from the 50s and 60s. They play music from the 70s, 80s and 90s now. Earlier I talked about a liver spot growing on my ass lip. Another one just joined it.)
LAist says that some people on the Eastside are already spitting on this movie, because they’re afraid it will push stereotypes and show their area as a gang-ridden land of violence. While others on the Eastside say that they’re going to watch it before they decide to rage or not. Well, I’m kind of raging, because a movie with a chola character in it is shooting in L.A. right now and it’s not Mi Vida Loca II: We Go To In-N-Out Now.
