Open Post: Hosted By Jennifer Aniston’s Ghost Problem

When I heard Jennifer Aniston was once plagued with an issue of ghosts coming out of the woodwork at her house, I wasn’t completely convinced that wasn’t just Angelina Jolie sending over some of the child army to mess with her and move dishes around. Alas, this case of a live-in poltergeist happened a long time ago when she was a fresh face in Los Angeles and she told the story on The Late Late Show with James Corden. While most of us would have made an immediate stop to In-N-Out, Jen hired a ghost whisperer to see what spirits were around to split rent with her. It sounds like there were plenty.

It wasn’t like Jen just went arbitrarily looking for ghosts (mmhmm). It sounds like there were all sorts of spooky things going on to make her wonder if something more immortal was behind them. She decided to have someone come over to clean up that mess:

“This dishwasher would start to go, or the coffee-maker would start to go, or the stereo would just turn on at full volume. And it was terrifying.”

The ghost whisperer/hunter tried to conjure the spirit by putting frankincense in a dish and babbling in ghost language. That dish cracked when the ghost whisperer got to one side of the house. I get annoyed when unwanted guests come to my part of the apartment, too! What’s even better is that the ghost sounds like a petty ho and told the whisperer it didn’t care for Jen’s roommate. Even pettier is that Jen just moved out of the place without telling her roommate that Casper the Unfriendly Ghost was sharing a roof…unhappily…with her. Luckily, Dolly Parton was there to ask the tough questions…like, what happened to the roommate! Don’t worry, Jen says she’s fine, and then they moved on to a more important conversation. Obviously, that’s about Dolly’s wigs.
