Kanye’s New Song Is Shit
Celebrity Trumpette Kanye West has dropped a deuce of a new track on kanyewest.com, and you can take that completely literally. It’s his first new track since 2016 and it’s called “Lift Yourself” but the only heavy lifting involved seems to have been Yeezy lifting himself off the toilette after squeezing this one out.
As Variety noted, the lyrics are about “poop.” No, really, note those quotation marks, it’s about poop. A celebrity hasn’t seriously explored this off-beat topic in song since Millie Jackson’s “Muffle That Fart” off of her seminal 1989 live album (featuring the greatest album cover of all time) Back to the S**t!.
The track features a chorus of women singing “Lift yourself back on your feet, let’s get it on” over a beat. But then the rapper enters with some of his most bizarre lyrics to date: “Scoop ditty poop…poop ditty scoop poop.” Wait, there’s more: “Woop ditty scoop poop…poop…poop.”
Catchy! There had BETTER be a video for this one. Kanye sometimes involves his big-assed wife Kim Kardashian in his attention-vacuuming artistic efforts so prepare yourself for footage of Kimmy bopping her moon of Jupiter booty down at the sewage treatment plant. Egads.
Despite Kanye’s recent missteps (this song, the sucking off of Trump, his taste in shoes), John Legend still seems cool with him. They hung out at Chrissy Teigen’s baby shower yesterday. This is despite Kanye releasing John’s texts about endorsing Trump. Chrissy Teigen can quit trying to come up with a new tiredly disgusted meme face. These two are good.
