Iggy Azalea Has Found A Way To Get Herself Involved In This “Becky With The Good Hair” Business

Hot on the heels of fellow How Is She Still A Thing? club member Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea has decided to get herself a lil’ slice of attention pie by uttering this week’s phrase that pays, “Becky.” That’s right, Iggy Azalea wants you to know that she definitely is NOT a Becky with good, bad or any other kind of hair. She is not a Becky at all and doesn’t want you calling her that.

The incredibly private artist who normally would only use Twitter to promote her music took to Twitter to slap down anyone who would ever dare to call someone “Becky.” According to Iggy, “Becky” is a slur against white girls, and she will NOT tolerate being called such an ugly word.

She acts like being known for giving dope blow jobs is a bad thing. Should I be offended by this? Because where I come from, that’s practically a reason to have a t-shirt made. Of course, Iggy is nothing if not reliably predictable, so she blamed all the “Um, no girl” side-eyes she received on…wait for it…THE MEDIA.

Honestly though, if Iggy ever gets semi-called out in song as somebody’s side-piece, I doubt it will be as “Becky with the good hair.” Becky with the new face and hair that is ok but could probably use a V05 hot oil treatment or two, maybe. Or if we’re going by what Iggy was seen wearing at the airport last week, Becky who has clearly been raiding Phyllis Lindstrom’s closet.
