Why can't Clooney simply be straight, and actually love Stacey? Too boring?

Hmm, that blind gossip article doesn't sound like she's prego, more like she gave him an STD. Did they hint later that someone was with child, or is that just what everyone is guessing?

Most relationships are a sham. Very few people hook up because they love one another. The feelings that drive people to "commit" are generally monetary greed, social desirability and fear.

Kiebler is a former WWE "star," whose shtick boiled down to being a scheming whore. Now that she is the wrong side of 30, there are younger, hungrier women who are willing to degrade themselves for the benefit of the McMahon's bank balance and teenage boys' wet dreams.

Clooney is an average actor who has spent the past 15 years trying to convince us that he's actually much better than he really is. He understands that Hollywood is a game, and that the real acting begins when he leaves the set. It's I'm his best interest to have a woman around because it fits in with the narrative that he's trying to sell. She has to be considerably younger because Clooney is supposedly still young and hot enough to bag leading man roles.

Both of them are driven by fear more than anything else though. Clooney needs to be recognised as a great actor, humanitarian and politically astute intellectual. it's not so much the recognition that he wants, more that he is trying to avoid being discovered to be such a plain Jane.

I agree with most of your points except for the last one. Clooney is actually hurting his image by hooking up with these young women. If he was smart, he would hook-up with an intellectual woman. If he wants to be taken seriously for humanitarian work and his political causes, he should be seen with a woman who is intellectually his superior. He is now getting up their with Hugh Heffner as being seen as a dirty old man who does not want to age.

I don't take Clooney seriously at all when he talks about Dafur.

Clooney is becoming a joke now. Leo Dicarapio should take notes because this is his future if he wants to further his pet causes too.

I have to add, though, that fear- as “one of the feelings that drive people to commit” – Is not a sham but, a legitimate reason. We can’t get who we want but we don’t want to stay alone so we go to the next best thing. It’s called a compromise and we do it a lot in our lives. it’s not why you are in a relationship but rather how you function once you are in. People get together for all sorts of reason but, if it's working, then everything else is irrelevant. Take Donald Trump and his 3rd wife, for example: she saw money, he saw youth and beauty. She has to care for his “unique” hairstyle and stroke his ego and in exchange she gets a lifestyle. Win-Win situation.
Back to Clooney, he/ or his enablers, has to realize, that changing beards too often is bad for his image. Hollywood is a conservative industry. it’s a high time he stayed with 1 beard for the rest of his life :)

Matt Damon is in his 40's and he is going out to Dinner on Saturday night in Berlin and he is dressed like a college kid going to evening Mass. And Clooney is in his 50's and what? wearing his good jeans to go to dinner?

Stacey Keibler has a weird looking face to me.

Her face seems too small for her body and especially her neck. Whenever I see pics of her I can only focus on that strong, thick neck and that tiny little face.

Another weird-faced one is Selena Gomez who seems to have a head too large for her body and a perpetually 6-year-old looking toddler face!

Never found Clooney attractive (not my type of look) but he seems to be an overall nice guy for Hollywood, no?

I think a lot of the men in Hollywood are either gay or bi or have experimented. Most of these people have some degree of creativity and if you combine that with tons of money/success/opposite sex throwing themselves at you at every turn .. most creative people will try something different. I know I would and I'm a straight woman. I do hear the lines are more rigid (pun not intended) with men than with women but I think creativity makes a lot of the men in Hollywood more open to experimentation. I wouldn't be surprised if most experimented.

That said, Clooney was married to Talia Balsam so i don't think he identified as gay back then (can't see her as a beard) but I wouldn't be surprised if he does now. Or at the very least bi. Clooney seems like he enjoys the company of men more than women and I wouldn't be surprised if he extended that to the bedroom. Also, Lainey has been hinting that Clooney is bi leaning towards gay many times and that he has a sweet tooth. I'm sure many here know exactly what I'm talking about.

I may have gotten confused because I remember being surprised when he mentioned his age to Julia as he didn't seem quite that old to me. Clooney is much older than 50. I remember watching one of those Baba Wawa specials and before I knew it - and I don't know how or why because I wasn't paying much attention - there was Julia Roberts interviewing Clooney. They were being really laid back about it. One of the questions she asked him was if he'd had any plastic surgery. He sheepishly admitted to getting his eyes done (she of course smugly said she never had any, lol) and I'm almost positive he mentioned being 50. This was a few years ago so he's probably closer to 60 now.

I think George wants a no (as opposed to low) maintenance girlfriend, and while he seems somewhat low key he probably doesn't want to be outshone. Also, if these girlfriends are really just beards or temporary members of his swingers' group then drama would be the last thing he'd want, and someone higher up the social ladder like a B actress would probably never go for the keep-your-mouth-shut clause. After all, a woman like that would believe her life experiences and social position are just as important as his. I think they make a cute couple and hope it's not a fake relationship. I have nothing against Stacey and hope she's happy and not just settling for any crumbs he decides to throw her. As for Clooney, loved "Michael Clayton" but bleh.
