The Newest “Doctor Who” Doctor Is A Black Woman

Back in 2017 there was a big brouhaha over the new Doctor Who having a hooha. Fears of ruined childhoods and/or a rip in the space time continuum due to Jodie Whittaker, the actor playing Doctor Who, occasionally using tampons, were unfounded. Jodie’s still playing The Doctor and it’s never once rained squids (unless Watchmen shares the same universe, in which case we’re all screwed). Now, according to CNN, on a recent episode of Doctor Who, another Doctor showed up, and she’s played by Jo Martin, a black woman! And fans are pissed…. it took this long. Either the demographics of the fandom have expanded, or women are actually just as capable of playing imaginary Time Lords as men. Or both!

“Doctor Who” Doctor Has A Hooha

The BBC has announced that the next iteration of the Time Lord known as The Doctor on the tv series Doctor Who will be played by Jodie Whittaker, a known woman. While many fans of the long running series applauded the casting choice, others expressed concern that the actor’s vagina and breasts would deter from their enjoyment of the show and retroactively ruin their childhoods. The role of The Doctor, a fictional character, has historically been played by actors who are not actually Time Lords, and Jodie Whittaker is no exception.
