The Queens Of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 8” Have Been Announced

April 20, 2023 / Posted by:

The regular season of RuPaul’s Drag Race ended last week, and you know what that means: more RuPaul’s Drag Race! Specifically the eighth season of All Stars. Entertainment Weekly reports that the cast of twelve was announced today, and some of these queens are less “~*ALL STARS*~” and more, “Oh shit, I forgot about that one. Didn’t she get kicked off third like four seasons ago?” However, this is not to say RuPaul’s unexpected picks won’t surprise us (or, at the very least, provide us with shady-ass dramatics and/or fodder for memes).

Here are your All Stars 8 drag queens with my notes:

Alexis Michelle: Season 9. Total theater kid, best known for her Snatch Game win as Liza Minelli, musical performance as Kris Jenner, and that time she painted herself green for the roast of Michelle Visage.

Darienne Lake: Season 6. Darienne came fourth in her (very competitive) season. I remember her being painted as a villain type? I think? Since then, she’s had a “transformative weight loss journey”.

Heidi N Closet: Season 12’s Miss Congeniality. Very funny, very sweet, has that gap between her teeth that gives her a little whistle. She admits that her looks and makeup were rough on her season.

Jaymes Mansfield: Season 9. Jaymes got kicked off first after the cheerleading challenge. But I always really liked her. Pure camp, unique sense of humor, A+ name.

Jessica Wild: Season 2. Loooved Jessica. Just pure insanity, super funny, very likable. The “Puerto Rican powerhouse” says she struggled with English in her first season, which was over 13 years ago.

Jimbo: Canada’s Drag Race Season 1, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. the World. Yaaay Jimbo! She got a raw deal on UK vs. the World. I enjoy her big, fat titties and absurd sense of humor.

Kahanna Montrese: Season 11. No memory. She’s Coco Montrese’s drag daughter and was kicked off second in her season. Kahanna admits she was unprepared for her season and says she’s way more confident this time around. She also got a ton of plastic surgery.

Kandy Muse: Season 13. Very entertaining and will give us lots of juicy, juicy drama and Untucked shenanigans. Queen of the meme.

LaLa Ri: Season 13’s Miss Congeniality. Didn’t get super far in her season and is probably best known for her iconically abysmal paper gift bag dress. I remember her being a great lip-syncher.

Monica Beverly Hillz: Season 5. Got out pretty early on her season. When the judges said she seemed disconnected, she came out as a trans woman on the main stage! Herstory.

Mrs. Kasha Davis: Season 7. I love Mrs. Kasha Davis. Her tagline was, “There’s always time for a cocktail!” Except, since her season, she’s ditched the cocktails for mocktails and is proudly seven years sober.

Naysha Lopez: Season 8. She got sent home first, then got brought back for a reason I don’t remember, then got kicked off again. A pageant girl. Very pretty.

And the official Meet The Queens of All Stars 8:

All Stars 8 starts airing on May 12. I wonder what the big twist this season will be! Lemme see, we’ve already done Legendary Legend Stars, Lip Sync Assassins, teams, and LaLaPaRuZa lip sync tournaments. What’s left? Cage matches? Russian roulette? Immunity idols??
