Depending on your view, cats are a beautiful gift from God or Satan’s hell spawn (I personally think they’re somewhere in the middle). Whether or not it’s an asshole or a sweetheart, it’s almost certain that every cat owner goes go above and beyond for their precious pussy. Take, for example, this old woman from Norway. She loves her cat so much that she created a simple yet clever elevator system for her tortoiseshell feline!
TikToker Emiliabroxx caught the moment the women put the elevator to use and posted it on the social media platform. The clip quickly went viral and has been viewed over 6 million times. People love innovation, old ladies, and cats! via Newsweek:
A video, shared on TikTok by Emiliabroxx, shows the woman dropping a rope with a cat carrier, and her cat getting into the bag to be lifted upstairs, only after meowing that it’s ready to go.
One user, j.yz.c, said they know the old lady and the cat from the video: “The cat’s name is Mio! We used to live on the 1st floor and often talked to the old lady when we saw her.”

Mio is not only providing the woman with comfort and companionship but also giving her some excellent forearm exercise! She’ll be curling 60-pound weights in no time. The best part of this clip is Mio strutting into that cat carrier/elevator and giving a quick meow to announce that she’s ready to be lifted home. Who bosses whom around the house, I wonder? (Answer: Mio. It’s Mio). The cat is very trusting to voluntarily get into a cat carrier. If you show that thing to any of my family felines, it means vet time which quickly turns into a Yakety Sax moment of me or my mother trying to wrangle an unruly cat into a bag. I’ll tell you one thing: no one looks dignified!
