Bella Thorne Apologizes To OnlyFan Users For Messing With Their Money

August 30, 2020 / Posted by:

The confounding saga that is Bella Thorne and her money-making aspirations continue to play out this week ever since it was discovered that she made a cool $1 million on her first day on OnlyFans.com. And despite my raggedy, old ass not even knowing who she was a few months ago, I think I’ve finally gotten the hang of what Bella has been doing online, why people are upset about it, and what she plans to do in order to make things right. So here we go…

Thanks to Emily, who broke this drama down for me on Friday, I now understand all of the hoopla (further proof as to why I don’t know who Bella Thorne is: I use words like “hoopla“) surrounding the Disney kid turned (insert whatever the fuck she does now) pissing people off when she joined OnlyFans. Bella is charging $20 a month (or $102 for six months) and also offered up 3 naked photos for $200 but the only thing those “naked” photos showed was her alleged scamming antics. The pictures weren’t nude and you couldn’t see the photos until you’ve paid for them. OnlyFans content creators claimed that shameless bait and switch move caused many pissed off, blue balls-having people to call their credit card company to reverse the charge, and those chargebacks reportedly led to OnlyFans changing their policies. Like OnlyFans put a $50 cap on pay-per-view messages (exclusive shit sent to users), and a $100 cap on tips.

Bella says that this STUNT! has all been research for an upcoming movie, directed by “Tangerine” filmmaker Sean Baker. However, Sean has since come out to say that he is not and has not ever been in official talks to make a movie with Bella, even going one step further by publicly encouraging her to stop hurting sex workers.

As a result, sex workers who use OnlyFans as a means of income and to pay their bills have called out Bella and other famous types for exploiting the nature of the site to fuel their egos and grow their already massive bank accounts. Well, Bella finally realized that this plan of hers had the potential to backfire and she’s now addressing it. Yesterday, 22-year-old Bella posted a lengthy chain of notes on her Twitter page, apologizing for screwing over a bunch of ordinary OnlyFans users who now can’t make as much money because of her:

Bella even goes one step further by confirming that she will actually meet with some execs at OnlyFans to review their new policy changes that drastically limit what people can make and how soon they can get paid. OnlyFans has said that their changes are not the result of any one person, but most people are calling such claims bullshit, implying that the website is damn near broke as a result of having to pay her.

This sounds like a stunt that OnlyFans cooked up to go more “mainstream” and get lots of attention, and I’m actually side-eyeing that $2 million number. But, oh if only I could listen in on a call between an angry dude and the credit card customer service rep who had to hold in their scream-laugh over that angry dude ranting about how he didn’t get to see any Bella Thorne titty. That is my OnlyFans.
